This past Saturday, Futures Academy, a partner school of UB LPP, held its annual Fall Fest for students and their families. The entire Fruit Belt neighborhood was invited to participate in all of the activities and the event served as yet another example of the school's efforts to foster relationships as a designated Community School.
UB LPP staff joined the festivities by setting up a crafts table, where kids of all ages were able to create their own bookmarks along with participating in face painting.
Some other activities that took place included hayrides, street basketball, dancing, free health screenings and much more.
Futures Academy has a Saturday Academy that happens one Saturday per month in order to provide experiences and opportunities to not only extend learning but also share helpful resources with all in the community.
The fall fest was recently featured on a local news broadcast. You can find a link to the story here. Can you spot some of our Liberty staff in the video?
