    UB LPP Seniors attend HBCU College Fair

    For the second year in a row, UB LPP took a group of 12th grade students to the annual Rochester Historically Black Colleges & Universities College Fair at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center. Last years group of seniors from Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts not only attended the event but several of them walked away with college acceptances as well as scholarships.     This past Saturday, Futures Academy, a partner school of UB LPP, held its annual Fall Fest for students and their families. The entire Fruit Belt neighborhood was invited to participate in all of the activities and the event served as yet another example of the school's efforts to foster relationships as a designated Community School.     University at Buffalo Liberty Partnerships Program is excited to partner with East Community High School. During the 2017-18 academic year. We will be servicing incoming freshman with a focus on Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and College Readiness.     Another school year has ended and we're proud of the work done here at UB Liberty Partnerships Program. Across all of our partner schools and in our community, UB LPP students made an impact.     For the second year in a row, 100% of the UB Liberty Partnerships Program seniors have graduated! All of our program participants from Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts walked the stage Thursday, June 22, 2017 and are each enrolling in college this fall.
