2019 Healthy Relationships Summit
February 12, 2019
UB LPP East Community High School 10th grade students to attend the Healthy Relationships Summit at the Buffalo Museum of History with Karen King-Executive Director, Erie County Commission on the Status of Women at Erie County. It will be from 9:30-1:00pm at the Buffalo History Museum. Students, Please return your permission slip by Thursday, January 31st, 2019.
2019 Advocacy Day, Albany New York

UB LPP will trek to Albany, New York on Tuesday, Feb. 12th, 2019! We are advocating for programming & funding to our NYS Assemblymembers! We will meet Assemblymember Crystal D. Peoples-Stokes (District 141), Sean Ryan (District 149) & NYS Senator Timothy M. Kennedy (63RD Senate District). We will select several students from our partner schools who have been leaders within their cohorts & amongst their peers! We cannot wait!
East Community High School & B.A.V.P.A Tour: Medaille College, Buffalo New York

UB LPP East Community High School & B.A.V.P.A 10th Grade Students will tour Medaille College on January 29th, 2019! Students please get your applications in by Friday, January 18th, 2019! We will be looking at the wonderful vet tech program and much more!
UB LPP Public Art Project!

The Public Art Project is an initiative to encourage our students to participate in civic engagement while using their creative and artistic talents as a vehicle to make an impactful public artwork to which all community members and students can enjoy.

UB LPP Girls Empowerment Group

We will continue to meet at Futures Academy during lunch for our Girls Empowerment Group. Dates for January are 1/23 and 1/30/2018!
Advocacy Day 2018

Every year, UB LPP and a handful of our students and parents head to Albany to take part in Advocacy Day, a day in which our students speak to local and state representatives about the importance of our programs! We are currently in the process of gathering this year's group, stay tuned...
College Tour: SUNY Fredonia

We are currently planning a college tour to SUNY Fredonia to see Daisy Pulls It Off at the Rockefeller Arts Center. We are taking several Buffalo Academy of Visual & Performing Arts students to tour parts of the campus while enjoying a meal right on campus!
